I-635/SH 121 Virtual Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Welcome to the official virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony of the I-635/SH 121 Interchange Project. The 3-mile stretch of roadway, funded by the Texas Clear Lanes Initiative, was designed to provide relief from traffic congestion by adding additional lanes on I-635 and SH 121, widening bridges to allow for better traffic flow, and adding direct connectors for FM 2499 and SH 26.

On Monday, Aug. 2, we celebrate this $370 million project that was completed six months ahead of schedule.

This project is a partnership between the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Tarrant County, the City of Grapevine, the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) and NorthGate Constructors, a joint venture between Kiewit and Zachary Construction.

Please join us in virtually celebrating the ribbon-cutting ceremony of this project and commemorate another significant milestone toward improved mobility in North Texas.
